One crucial analysis in assessing timing constraints of real-time systems is the Worst-Case Execution Time (WCET) analysis of programs executed on computing platforms. The ever increasing complexity of computing platforms makes this type of analysis extremely cumbersome if not impossible with deterministic methods. To overcome this difficulties, statistical methods such as Extreme Value Theory (EVT) are attractive. In this paper, we propose to enhance the confidence in the WCET estimates obtained by the application of EVT-based estimators by introducing, a hybrid statistical analysis featuring such estimators. While hybrid analyses are not new, our objective is to compare several possible analyses that may capture the advantages of EVT-based estimators.
