Foundational frameworks are often criticized for lacking clear conditions under which they could be shown to fail. This paper argues that Temporal Rate Ontology (TRO) avoids this weakness by admitting explicit forms of internal and conceptual falsification. Rather than appealing to immediate empirical tests, we articulate precise logical conditions under which TRO’s core axioms and derived principles would be rendered untenable. We distinguish foundational falsifiability from empirical falsification and show that TRO satisfies the former in a robust and nontrivial way. By identifying failure conditions for succession primacy, representational geometry, global consistency, and the Principle of Maximal Freedom, the paper demonstrates that TRO is not a vacuous reinterpretation but a genuinely risky and scientifically serious proposal. In defining how it could fail, TRO establishes itself as a framework open to critical evaluation and future empirical engagement.
