ABSTRACT Two new pyrrole alkaloids, asiaticain A ( 1 ) and asiaticain B ( 2 ), two aromatic compounds 3 – 4, and one steroid 5 were isolated from Lanmaoa asiatica . The structural elucidation of the isolated compounds was determined by using NMR, MS, IR, and UV spectroscopy data and comparison with literature data. The absolute configuration (AC) of compound 2 was further determined by comparison of experimental and calculated ECD spectra. Notably, two alkaloids previously unreported were identified from L. asiatica . Compounds 1 , 2 , 4 , and 5 had no significant effect on anti‐inflammatory activity in the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) inhibition assay.
