ABSTRACT Introduction The Japan Society for Oriental Medicine (JSOM) established a new subcommittee to support young researchers and practitioners. At the 75th Annual Meeting of JSOM held in June 2025, a special joint symposium titled “Top 10 Essential Traditional Medicine Papers” was organized to foster education and networking. Methods The session featured presentations by young experts from diverse backgrounds, including physicians, pharmacists, and acupuncturists. Presenters selected and reviewed ten high‐impact papers published recently in the field of traditional medicine. Following the reviews, a panel discussion was held to formulate proposals for the future development of the society. Results The session covered a wide range of topics. Key papers included those on the gap between acupuncture evidence and health policy, guidelines for economic evaluation, and clinical trials on Kampo and Traditional Chinese Medicine formulations for conditions such as chronic subdural hematoma, low back pain, myocardial infarction, and diabetes. In the panel discussion, three core pillars were proposed to support the next generation: (1) Career Support: Visualizing diverse career paths and training facilities to support continuous learning; (2) Building Education and Research Networks: Creating a culture of mutual learning across disciplines and fostering peer support; and (3) Information Dissemination: Enhancing the visibility of activities through social media and promoting international exchange. Conclusion This symposium served as a foundation for a sustainable network of young professionals in traditional medicine. The proposals aim to transform individual participation into continuous collaboration, contributing to the future growth of the field.
