The present study aims to psychometrically evaluate the Greek version of the Brief IPF scale (B-IPF), with emphasis on its validity, reliability and predictive ability for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in paediatric healthcare professionals. The sample consisted of 445 paediatric healthcare professionals working in pediatric settings. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis methods, Cronbach’s alpha, HAM-A and PCL-5 correlations, ROC analysis and logistic regression were used. A univariate scale structure was confirmed with high internal consistency (α = 0.874). A significant association with anxiety and PTSD was observed, and the optimal cut-off score (17) showed an AUC = 0.841. The B-IPF demonstrated high sensitivity (78.6%) and specificity (79%) in predicting PTSD. The Greek version of the B-IPF has proven to be a reliable and valid screening tool, suitable for application in high occupational risk environments. The study contributes to the cross-cultural documentation of the tool and highlights the importance of early detection of trauma in health professionals. The present study investigates the psychometric validity and reliability of the Greek version of the Brief IPF (B-IPF) scale in paediatric healthcare professionals in order to assess its ability to predict the presence ofthe effects of the traumatic experience in workplace. The results support the use of the B-IPF as a reliable and valid screening tool in high-risk environments.
