Reusable medical devices (RMDs) used in clinical settings are processed in the reprocessing section of centralized sterile services departments to ensure that they are clean and sterile. As such, the quality and function required for medical devices must be maintained consistently. In the present study, we report two consecutive incidences in which contamination with brownish foreign matter was identified in the sterilization containers.
