A one-dimensional chainlike Zr-substituted phosphotungstate NH2 (CH3) 28H6 (Zr2O4) P2W16O60·10H2On (1), was synthesized via a conventional aqueous solution method, employing the hexavacant Dawson-type precursor H2P2W12O4812-. Compound 1 features a rare divacant P2W16O6014- building unit, interconnected into a one-dimensional sinusoidal chain structure through the Zr2O4 connectors. This compound demonstrates excellent proton conductivity, achieving a high conductivity of 5. 30 × 10-3 S·cm-1 at 348 K.
