Primary prostatic yolk sac tumor is extremely rare, with only 9 cases documented in the literature. Because of the unusual anatomic location and diverse histological patterns, prostatic yolk sac tumor is diagnostically challenging. Here, we report a case of prostatic yolk sac tumor and review the relevant literature, focusing on its clinical presentation, pathological features, therapeutic approaches, and prognosis, with the aim of providing additional experience and insight to aid in the diagnosis and management of this entity.
