ABSTRACT This study proposes an event‐triggered impulsive control method to achieve fixed‐time bipartite consensus control for a class of second‐order leader–follower multi‐agent systems. More specifically, convex analysis is applied to address the impulsive saturation in the control inputs of the system. An event‐triggered impulsive controller is designed, and sufficient conditions for fixed‐time bipartite consensus of second‐order leader–follower multi‐agent systems are obtained by utilizing matrix analysis. Regarding the nonlinear terms, this paper compares neural network approximation vs. Lipschitz condition estimation, and summarizes the respective applications for nonlinear terms. Finally, corresponding simulations are conducted to verify the feasibility of the conclusions in this paper.
