Preprint v1.1. This paper proposes a regime theory of fashion dynamics in the platform era. We show that diffusion is a special regime rather than a default: when mediation and meaning decouple, fashion dynamics bifurcate endogenously into elite-signal and mass-commodity basins. The framework formalizes empirically estimable regime indices (price barriers, mediation structure, and algorithmic decoupling) and provides a test architecture for identifying regime boundaries in real markets.
