Background: The ubiquitous use of ride-sourcing platforms such as Uber™, Lyft™ and Didi™ as transport services like taxis provided by private citizens have introduced new social dynamics into personal transportation. With this growth, however, has come an emergence in reports of sexual assault involving drivers of these platforms. This case series describes the forensic characteristics of adult sexual assaults reported to have occurred in the context of a ride-sourced interaction.
