In many cases where residential buildings are flooded below a meter height, the residents continue their livings in the same buildings. Therefore, it is essential to verify whether the building performances satisfy the requirements despite the flooding damages. In this regard, this paper experimentally investigated the influence of flooding on the corrosion of steel connectors and nails. The real-scaled conventional post and beam wooden wall specimens were prepared and the flooding was simulated by sinking the specimens in the water. The rate of corrosion was evaluated by the rusted area rate, and significant acceleration of corrosion was found.
