This study examines how emergency broadcasts and digital signage can reduce occupant anxiety during fire evacuations in high-rise buildings. When waiting to evacuate, occupants often lack essential information, leading to increased anxiety. Experiments using VR simulations showed that live emergency broadcasts and digital signage helped occupants feel more at ease, especially when explaining building safety features. However, unclear or overly complex messages sometimes caused confusion. The findings emphasize the need for concise, well-structured communication. Integrating fire safety measures into building design and using a phased evacuation strategy can enhance information delivery and improve the overall evacuation process.
