This study focuses on the seating arrangement and layout of the face-to-face venue in hybrid communication, which combines online and face-to-face communication, and aims to alleviate online participants’ difficulty in speaking. In two impression evaluation experiments, subjects actually engaged in hybrid communication and evaluated the ease of speaking in hybrid communication with different seating arrangement and layout in the face-to-face venue. As a result, the optimal method was found in the four methods in this study, although it was not possible to completely eliminate the online participants’ difficulty in speaking.
