Using a specialized measuring system, a systematic study of the Yenisei River’s thermophysical characteristics downstream of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station was conducted. Key patterns in the annual thermal regime between 2021 and 2025 were identified. Previously unknown irregular water temperature fluctuations (with an amplitude of up to 8°C) were discovered in late summer and autumn. It was also established that, at a distance of 40 km from the dam, the water warms by +2°C in summer and cools by –2°C in winter, indicating a seasonal inversion of the river’s heat balance recovery rate.
