Let’s Talk About IT is a family card game created to transfer the knowledge generated by the PlatFAMs European research project (Platforming Families: Tracing digital transformations in everyday life across generations, funded by CHANSE/Horizon Europe). This is an educational resource composed of 24 cards that include a situation and an illustration that poses a dilemma or a problem to discuss. On the back of each card, there are questions designed to foster dialogue between family members of all generations. Each card is based on real-life situations from families who participated in the PlatFAMs research project. The topics addressed through the game are: communication, intimacy, surveillance, streaming and gaming, health, and learning. The aim of this conversation-driven card game is to encourage families to discuss the topics that we have identified as generating the most debates, dilemmas, or even disagreements within families. The resource can be used as a prompt for intergenerational dialogue, designed to spark reflection on family-related ethical dilemmas and real-world situations. The design of the cards was in charge of professionals from Sarc Creative Studio, who developed flat-design-style illustrations for the characters to resonate with diverse audiences. This project has received funding from the European Union, Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101004509. The project PCI2022-135025-2 has received funding from the MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and The European Union “NextGenerationEU”/PRT.
