Abstract

Within the limitations of subgroup-level data and study heterogeneity, baseline KMW did not influence improvements in PPD, BOP, or MBL following surgical peri-implantitis treatment. A moderate association with increased soft-tissue recession was observed at 6 months but not sustained at 12 months. Patient-level analyses are warranted to validate these findings and clarify the prognostic role of peri-implant keratinized mucosa.
