This paper examines why biological data obtained from animal models cannot be assumed to represent human physiology. It analyses structural, kinetic, temporal, and systemic differences between species and shows how these divergences introduce systematic error into biomedical inference. The paper argues that translational research requires a metrological framework capable of measuring and correcting these divergences, rather than relying on assumptions of similarity. The Cidad Method is presented as a calibration protocol designed to quantify cross‑species divergence and evaluate when surrogate models can or cannot be aligned with human reference standards.
