Palliative care (PC) uses a holistic approach to improve the quality of life, alongside curative treatment, at any stage of illness and for any diagnosis. However, PC is underutilized due to a lack of educational training for health care professionals. This article aims to promote palliative PC as a distinct, person-centered approach that promotes quality of life, dignity, and comfort at any stage of the lifespan. It is crucial to enhance PC education and training to meet the standards of delivering timely, comprehensive, compassionate care that respects the needs and values of patients, their families, and caregivers.
