The diet of adult individuals of the Black Sea damselfish (Linnaeus, 1758) has been studied in its post-spawning period (October 2024) for the first time. Comparison of the new information with the data of the 1970s has revealed a lower diversity of the qualitative composition of the consumed objects. Small fish and a high proportion of polychaetes (Polychaeta) have been recorded for the first time in the diet of adult damselfish.
