Variations in the ring-current proton fluxes and relativistic electrons in the Earths outer radion belt, as well as variations in the magnetospheric magnetic field were studied during two geomagnetic storms on March 17–18, 2015 and June 22–23, 2015, which had similar power (|| ~ 200 nT), but were caused by different conditions in the solar wind. The work is based on experimental data from the Van Allen Probes spacecraft. The comparison of simultaneous measurements of proton and electron fluxes and the magnetospheric magnetic field during geomagnetic storms is indicative of a consistent dynamics of the ring current and the Earths outer radiation belt. It is shown that the magnetic field variations due to the development of the ring current and substorm activations are the main factors responsible for the dynamics of the relativistic electron fluxes in the outer radiation belt during the geomagnetic storms on March 17–18, 2015 and June 22–23, 2015.
