Description/Abstract: Fractal geometric systems resist perturbation. This is not a flaw in these systems. It is their defining behavior. They absorb input — sometimes enormous quantities of input — while maintaining structural stability, until the accumulated perturbation reaches a critical threshold. Then the system undergoes rapid, irreversible phase transition into a new stable state. This paper proposes that human cognition operates by the same dynamics. Not by analogy. By mathematics. The resistance to new frameworks, the persistence of cognitive bias, the mechanics of brainwashing and deprogramming, and the structure of scientific paradigm shifts all follow fractal phase transition mathematics. This extends the Resonance Theory framework into cognitive science, connecting physics to psychology through mechanism rather than metaphor. It also predicts that resistance to Resonance Theory itself will follow these dynamics. Including yours.
