Abstract: This article discusses the interconnection between voice, singing, the nervous system, and psychological trauma. The engagement of the nervous system in voice, particularly singing, is still being investigated in the field. Evidence is gradually emerging on what nervous system structures may be involved in voice and singing. At the same time, literature on the nervous system and trauma discusses the impact of past experiences on structure and function. In this article, the potential interconnections and implications of the presented information are discussed.
