The purpose of the study is to develop methodological recommendations for the use of physical exercises for students of a pharmaceutical university with a history of myopia. Research methods and organization: analysis, synthesis, systematization, modeling, mathematical and statistical data analysis. Research results and conclusions. The study revealed a trend of increasing numbers of first-year students with myopia enrolling at SPCPU during the specified period. The causes of vision deterioration were identified in students of SMG "B" with myopia, who were fully exempted from academic classes in health-improving physical education. A positive trend was also observed in the preservation of residual vision among first- to third-year students who practiced "eye gymnastics" in addition to elective physical education classes. It was established that a combination of general developmental physical exercises with specialized exercises aimed at strengthening eye accommodation has a positive effect on the visual system and its functionality. Research conducted by the Center for Physical Culture and Health (hereinafter the Center) at Saint Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical University (SPCPU) from 2022 to 2025 allowed for an assessment of the role of physical culture as part of a comprehensive approach to the prevention of myopia and its progression.
