This document is a monitoring report for the Least Tern Gate Installation Project. 30 CES/CEIEA archaeologist Eric Nocerino and Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians representative Brian York monitored excavations associated with installing a new gate along the least tern fence at Purisima Point within CA-SBA-225. No cultural materials were observed. In addition to excavation, Nocerino and York surveyed an ATV access route along the tern fence and from the fence to the sea cliff where ice plant will be sprayed with herbicide. Pin flags were used to mark a route that avoids crossing archaeological deposits.
