The objective of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of anti-gp51 antibodies against bovine leukemia virus (BLV) in 460 sheep slaughtered in Boyacá. A cross-sectional convenience sampling design was used, with serum samples collected at slaughter. Serological detection was performed using the ID Screen® BLV Competition ELISA kit (91% sensitivity, 99% specificity), and results were analyzed with the TeamViewer® ID Software. Results revealed that 83% of samples (382/460) were seropositive, 1% were negative, and 16% were doubtful.
