Introduction The motor ability of preschoolers has declined compared to 1985 in Japan. Recent studies have focused on the quality of movement as a factor that enhances motor ability; however, longitudinal changes in the quality of movement and its association with motor ability have not been elucidated. Therefore, this study aimed to examine changes in the quality of movement over one year and its association with changes in motor ability in preschoolers.
