In this article we analyze two case studies of groups of women affected by environmental conflicts in Chile: Afro-descendant women affected by the seed industry in the Azapa Valley (Arica and Parinacota), and Mapuche women affected by the landfill in Boyeco (Araucanía). Through qualitative ethnographic methodology, we address the struggles and socio-political processes that both groups of women carry out in defense of their territories. From an ecofeminist perspective, our objective is to analyze and compare the interaction between the variables of gender, environment and ethno-racial processes. We propose that the economic, social and cultural transformations produced, although they have negative implications in women's lives, at the same time promote the strengthening of their ethnic-racial identities. In contexts of environmental conflict, we conclude that they experience the intersection not only of violence and inequalities, but also of agency and resilience. En este artículo analizamos dos estudios de caso de grupos de mujeres afectadas por conflictos socioambientales en Chile: mujeres afrodescendientes afectadas por la industria de semillas en el valle de Azapa (Arica y Parinacota) y mujeres mapuches afectadas por el vertedero de Boyeco (La Araucanía). A través de una metodología cualitativa de carácter etnográfico, abordamos las luchas y los procesos sociopolíticos que ambos grupos de mujeres desarrollan en defensa de sus territorios. Desde una perspectiva ecofeminista, nuestro objetivo es analizar y comparar la interacción entre las variables de género, medio ambiente y procesos étnico-raciales. Sostenemos que las transformaciones económicas, sociales y culturales producidas, si bien tienen implicancias negativas en la vida de las mujeres, al mismo tiempo promueven el fortalecimiento de sus identidades étnico-raciales. En contextos de conflicto socioambiental, concluimos que estas mujeres experimentan la intersección no solo de violencias y desigualdades, sino también de agencia y resiliencia.
