The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the structural condition of bridges and their year of construction. Data of bridges from various time periods were collected and evaluated their current technical condition. Through correlation analysis, we want to look for dependence between the year of construction and the structural condition of the bridges, predication that older bridges should or tend to be in worse condition. However, the correlation coefficient indicates that this dependence would be weak, making it difficult to conclude that the year of construction is a major factor influencing the technical condition of bridges. Recommendation for further research includes additional variables, such as maintenance, materials, and load, to better understand the factors affecting the structural condition of bridges.
