Does a single 480-s cryoablation protocol reduce long-term arrhythmia recurrence compared to standard cryoablation in patients with AVNRT?
Patients with AVNRT (atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia)
Single 480-s cryoablation (CRYO) protocol
Standard cryoablation (CRYO) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Long-term arrhythmic recurrence ratehard clinical
A single 480-s cryoablation protocol is a safe and more effective alternative to standard cryoablation for preventing long-term arrhythmia recurrence in AVNRT patients, matching the efficacy of radiofrequency ablation.
In our study, it was shown that AVNRT patients can be treated effectively and safely with a single 480-s CRYO protocol among catheter ablation methods. While this new CRYO protocol significantly reduces the long-term arrhythmic recurrence rate compared to standard CRYO, it is similarly effective with RFA.
