This report describes the measurement of basic parameters which are important for the investigation of the switching process in a hybrid switching device. First, structure and function of a hybrid switch are explained. Different function principles result in different requirements for the three subsystems of the hybrid switch. The mechanical switching path and, in particular, its recovery behavior are examined. The model switches used are described in detail. The measurement technology used and developed is then presented. Afterwards, the measurement results available at the moment are presented and characterized. Furthermore, the challenges and insights gained are summarized compactly.
