Demonstrating the actual demand for transport infrastructure requires specific data collection and thorough analysis. Mobility data represent a valuable information source applicable across various sectors, though obtaining reliable data is time-consuming and financially demanding. This paper presents the results of the REMOT project – Research on Mobility and Emission Attributes of the Transport Process (APVV-21-0416), which focuses on analyzing mobility and emission loads in Slovakia. The primary data sources included the 2021 Population and Housing Census, the National Traffic Census (2022 and 2023), movement data from SIM cards provided by Orange Slovensko and Orange France, and speed statistics from TomTom. The pilot testing of the data was conducted using Matlab and PTV Visum environments, resulting in a Slovak national model divided into 2,927 transport zones. The analysis includes assessments of traffic flows, classification of zones by population, and regional distribution functions.
