With the rapid advancement of next-generation information technologies including artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things, intelligent technologies are reshaping the field of electrical engineering automation control with unprecedented depth and breadth. This paper systematically explores the key applications and transformative value of intelligent technologies in modern electrical automation control systems. First, it analyzes the developmental trajectory of intelligent technologies and their inherent logic of integration with electrical automation control. Second, through core scenarios such as fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance, intelligent optimization control, integrated energy management, and equipment lifecycle management, the paper provides in-depth analysis of application models and effectiveness of specific technologies including AI algorithms, digital twins, and edge computing. The research demonstrates that the introduction of intelligent technologies not only significantly enhances system adaptability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, but also drives the paradigm shift from "automation" to "autonomy" in electrical automation systems. Finally, the paper outlines challenges in technological integration and future development directions.
