Happiness with or without ease?

Happiness is often viewed as the ultimate goal of life, driven by various concepts and proposals.
Different interpretations of ease and difficulty complicate our understanding of happiness and its pursuit.
It is challenging to reach consensus on what defines 'ease', mirroring the complexities of defining 'happiness'.
This complexity invites deeper reflection on how we approach happiness and the methods we choose to attain it.

Abstract

Happiness, from classical ethics, is considered the "ultimate goal -or main objective- of life". We will analyze different concepts of happiness and different proposals to achieve it, with special emphasis on the ease and difficulty of each, including what we mean by ease and difficulty. Curiously, we will experience how difficult it is to agree on the very notion of 'ease' (almost as difficult as that of 'happiness').
