Surgical Treatment of Idiopathic spinal cord herniation: A Case Report under Neuromonitoring and Meta-analysis of 211 reviewed Cases
Key Points
Non-closure is a viable option, requiring less manipulation during surgery.
Intraoperative neuromonitoring assists in making better surgical decisions for patients.
The meta-analysis reviews 211 cases, highlighting the effectiveness of different surgical strategies.
The findings imply potential benefits of certain techniques over others in surgical outcomes.
Abstract
Both strategies are comparable. The non-closure could be a better choice, since it requires less manipulation. Intraoperative neuromonitoring is a valuable decision-making tool in ISCH surgery.
