Abstract In this work, we distinguish the isospin unambiguously to construct the diquark–diquark–antiquark type five-quark currents with the isospin I=1/2 I = 1 / 2, and study the uudcc u u d c c ¯ pentaquark states with the QCD sum rules systematically for the first time. Then we obtain the mass spectrum of the diquark–diquark–antiquark type uudcc u u d c c ¯ pentaquark states with the isospin-spin-parity IJP=121{2}^- I J P = 1 2 1 2 -, 123{2}^- 1 2 3 2 - and 125{2}^- 1 2 5 2 -, and make possible assignments of the Pc (4312) P c (4312), Pc (4337) P c (4337), Pc (4380) P c (4380), Pc (4440) P c (4440)
