This research examined infodemic prevalence on vaccination rejection, giving scientific evidence solutions towards enhancing vaccination acceptance in Nigeria. Infodemic refers to the rapid spread of information both accurate and inaccurate in the age of social media and Internet. These include false and misleading information which has been a growing concern to every stakeholder; and the World Health Organization (WHO) viewed these problems as a threat to vaccination success globally. The research employed mixed methods with descriptive survey research design. The perceptions of the public on the level of infodemic on vaccinations acceptance were high as social media platforms are leading in the spread of misinformation about vaccination; and exposure to fake news can reduce plan to get people vaccinated. The study revealed positive attitudes towards vaccination acceptance and disclosed that level of vaccination acceptance was high (base on the decision rule) as indicated. The results also exposed moderate challenges militating against vaccinations acceptance in Nigeria. It concludes that vaccination in Nigeria was largely affected by inaccurate information and negative attitudes towards its acceptance. The study recommended that all the concerned agencies, including the fact-checking ones, should not only identify infodemic and debunk them but should also engage social media companies to spread factual information among other recommendations.
