This study aims to address the challenges in managing urethro-cutaneous fistulas (UCF) in men with spinal cord injury (SCI) and related urinary issues.
Presented a management algorithm based on clinical experience.
Highlighted the challenges associated with UCF management in the context of SCI and neurogenic dysfunction.
Recommended evaluation of the algorithm in larger multicenter studies.
Outlined the difficulties in managing UCF in patients with SCI.
Emphasized the need for a comprehensive and tested management approach for UCF in this population.
Abstract
The management of UCF in people with SCI/D remains a major challenge. Based on our experience, we present a management algorithm that should be evaluated in a larger, preferably multicenter study.
