On the Issue of Organizing Career Guidance and Career Support for Schoolchildren at the Pedagogical Institute of Irkutsk State University

The article addresses the issue of professional self-determination of students using the example in the Irkutsk region. The topic of training future teachers is particularly pressing due to the shortage of teaching staff, so the author attempts to analyze the work system presented at the Pedagogical Institute of Irkutsk State University. The article describes practical activities and projects aimed at shaping professional orientation: the “Ticket to the Future” project, the course “Russia – My Horizons”, as well as pilot formats for open days and professional trials at the Pedagogical Institute.
