Abstract

Vacuolar protein sorting 35 (VPS35) is a rare autosomal dominant cause of Parkinson’s disease (PD), typically presenting with levodopa-responsive motor symptoms similar to idiopathic PD. Using a Sendai virus–based system, we generated an induced pluripotent stem cell line from peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a 48-year-old woman carrying a heterozygous VPS35 c.1858G > A (p.D620N) mutation. This cellular model provides a valuable tool for investigating pathogenic mechanisms and facilitating the development of potential PD therapies.
