It is also viewed as a manifestation of secondary intracranial hypotension syndrome (IHS). Typically, PDPH presents as an orthostatic headache that worsens when upright and eases when lying down. The pain is often bilateral, localized in the frontal, occipital, or combined regions, and described as dull or throbbing.
