ABSTRACT With the escalating dependence on electronic devices, the mitigation of electromagnetic interference (EMI) has become a critical concern. In response, smart textiles infused with MXene (termed as M‐textiles), a two‐dimensional nanomaterial, presents a breakthrough. This review examines their properties that render its suitability for integration into textiles and highlights the importance of smart textiles in addressing EMI challenges. This has transformed conventional fabrics into smart materials capable of actively mitigating EMI by leveraging the inherent flexibility and lightweight nature of textiles without compromising comfort or functionality. Furthermore, their prominence in their ability to provide on‐demand protection while maintaining breathability and aesthetics, adaptability to diverse environments is also discussed. This paper engirds from the basic theory to the latest research in M‐textiles covering in detail the synthesis protocol and shielding mechanisms. Based on these developments, this review aims certain valuable insights, multifunctional applications, and advancements in M‐textiles in EMI shielding.
