This action research aimed to improve the performance level of the Grade 6 pupils in Science with the end goal of developing Interactive Learning Tasks in Science for Grade 6 in Caloy-ahan Elementary School, Calubian North District, Division of Leyte during the school year 2016-2017. The descriptive survey method was used to elicit data that were needed to answer specific questions posed in this inquiry. The data gathered were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, and weighted mean. Based on the gathered data, the following were the findings of the inquiry:1. The performance level of the Grade 6 pupils, which was interpreted as -Low Performing," where the mean percentage score obtained by the pupils was only 16 %. 2. The majority of the performance standards in Scienceneeded to be developed among Grade 6 pupils. 3. There were three (3) instructional materials utilized, Seldom Utilized by the teacher in teaching Science for Grade 6, and these were the Learning Kit.Modular Lesson-Typeand Laboratory Learning Exercise with a 2.00 mean value. While the instructional materials, such as Interactive Learning Tasks, got a 1.00 mean value interpreted as Never Utilized, and the Existing Activities. Based on Lesson got 4.00 mean valuewas interpreted as Very Often Utilized and 4. The problems that got the highest mean value of S.00 were Absence or lack of instructional materials, andInadequate Science facilities and equipment. Indeed, this clearly conveys thatthe development of InteractiveLearning Tasks in Science for Grade 6 is vital. The practitioner decided to develop the Interactive Learning Tasks in Sciencefor Grade 6 that would be used during the teaching-learningprocess. Furthermore, the Interactive Learning Tasks in Science for Grade 6 must beutilized properly to improve the performance level of the Grade 6 pupils inScience, develop the needed performance standards among pupils, and address the problem of teacher on lack of instructional materials.
