Coaching psychology can play a major role to address climate change effects, impact and consequences. There has been an increasing interest to develop and support coaching practice for climate change issues around the world. This article aims to open the discussion about three critical questions to understand the valuable role of coaching psychology to address the effects and consequences of climate change. These three questions are, 1) what do we know about climate change and coaching psychology? 2) why coaching psychology is important for climate change? 3) how coaching psychology can address the negative effect of climate change on behaviour? This short article calls for professional interventions from coaching psychology practice for supporting responses to climate change using coaching psychology driven knowledge, tools and techniques, with an aim to support individuals, groups and nations to cope with the ongoing and unpredictable changes in the climate.
