Abstract:Entrepreneurship has long played a transformative role in shaping economies, evolving from traditional trade-based ventures to innovation-driven enterprises in the modern global landscape. This article evaluates the dynamic relationship between entrepreneurship, technological advancement, and economic growth in the contemporary era. First, it explores the historical and global perspectives of entrepreneurship, highlighting how entrepreneurs have acted as catalysts of change by identifying opportunities, mobilising resources, and introducing innovative solutions across different periods of economic development. Second, the study examines the impact of technological progress on global activities, emphasising how digital transformation, automation, and knowledge-based systems have redefined production processes, communication, and market structures. Technology not only enhances entrepreneurial efficiency but also expands global connectivity, enabling new business models and cross-border economic participation. Third, the article analyses how entrepreneurs contribute to economic growth and development through job creation, productivity enhancement, competitive market expansion, and the diffusion of innovation. By transforming ideas into commercially viable ventures, entrepreneurs stimulate industrial development and strengthen national and global economies. Finally, the paper discusses strategies for developing successful entrepreneurs in the modern era. It underscores the importance of education, innovation ecosystems, access to finance, supportive policies, and technological literacy in nurturing entrepreneurial capacity. The integration of technology with entrepreneurial skills is identified as a critical factor for sustainable economic progress. Overall, this study provides a comprehensive understanding of how entrepreneurship and technological advancement collectively drive economic development in the modern world.
