Currently, China is sparing no effort in promoting the transformation of industrial enterprises’ manufacturing, and sustainable development has always been on affair during the transformation. For China’s electric power enterprises, it is urgent to evaluate its Business Capacity and what their behaviour in sustainable development suitable. Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. is one of the main enterprises in China’s electric power production industry, the problems existing in the transformation stage can be found through the research of the enterprise. This paper collecting data from Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. in China, forming the index and using the Entropy-TOPSIS to weight the importance of each indicators, by using the coupling coordination model to analyze the relationship between Business Capacity and Sustainable Production Ability. On this basis, according to result of evaluation, combining with analysis of each yearly work done by the company, the analysis of barriers was conducted to screen out the main barriers, sort them out and discuss the relevant results in detail. Through this study, the problems faced by Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. during its industrial transformation will be identified. The study will also clarify the role of Sustainable Production Ability system factors in industrial transformation and identify their main obstacles. Through research, it clearly explains the solid green transformation, which guarantees the company’s ability to resist and control in the face of the approved, intelligent production effect and high-quality coordination, which promotes the strong development of the company. Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. is one of the main enterprises in China’s electric power production industry; the problems existing in the transformation stage can be identified through the research of the enterprise. The findings can provide valuable insights to similar Chinese power enterprises and promote the transformation of the industry.
