SAPD position statement on the integration of digestive ultrasound into digestive system units as a clinical, teaching, and organizational necessity

Abstract The Andalusian Society of Digestive Pathology, following the guidelines of the Spanish Society of Digestive Pathology (SEPD) and the Spanish Association of Digestive Ultrasound (AEED), endorses the recent position published in the Spanish Journal of Digestive Diseases on the use of ultrasound, which establishes as its primary and strategic objectives the continuous improvement of clinical practice, the training of specialists, and the promotion of training tools that, efficiently and with the highest quality available, contribute to improving patient-centred healthcare.
