Abstract The systematics of the potamiscine freshwater crab genus Sinopotamon sensu lato Bott, 1967 is reviewed based on morphological and molecular data. The species in Sinopotamon sensu lato are assigned to four separate genera: Sinopotamon sensu stricto. Bott, 1967, Longpotamon Shih, Huang Stilopotamon gen. nov. is established to accommodate Longpotamon parvum (Dai & Song in Dai, Song, Li, Chen, Wang & Hu, 1985) that was formerly included in Longpotamon Shi, Huang & Ng, 2016. Crabs of these two new genera and those related congeners can be distinguished by the combination of characters in the carapace, third maxilliped, thoracic sternites, cheliped carpus, male first gonopod, and vulva. Phylogenetic analyses based on mitochondrial and nuclear sequences support the establishment of the two new genera.
