The ageing offshore platform infrastructure across the Gulf region presents significant structural integrity risks, operational safety challenges, and methane emissions compliance obligations. Traditional rope-access and manual inspection methods are constrained by personnel safety exposure, limited structural coverage, and an inability to generate the continuous monitoring data demanded by contemporary regulatory frameworks such as the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0).
