Abstract: Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) is a classical yogic sequence deeply rooted in Indian tradition and widely practiced for its comprehensive health benefits. It consists of twelve dynamic postures performed in a rhythmic sequence synchronized with breathing. This paper explores the philosophical background, historical significance, structural components, physiological and psychological benefits, and modern relevance of Surya Namaskar. The study highlights Surya Namaskar as a cost-effective, time-efficient, and holistic approach to promoting physical fitness, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. Its integration into daily lifestyle practices can contribute significantly to preventive healthcare and overall well-being.
